Her Mighty Pen is a collective of writers and facilitators centering women and non-binary people with carceral lived experience.

Her Mighty Pen collaborates with system-affected women and non-binary writers and facilitators to design and deliver its programmes.

We are in the process of setting up these collaborations, and further information on collaborators will appear here soon.

If you are interested in collaborating with Her Mighty Pen to deliver creative writing workshops, mentoring or writers’ circles, please connect with us here.

Bel is the founder of Her Mighty Pen and editor of Her/their Mighty Pen: Life writing from women’s prisons.

She was inspired to set up Her Mighty Pen following the delivery of life writing programmes in three women’s prisons, which were part of her PhD research.

She is a writer, performer, creative facilitator & consultant, and creative therapist & supervisor.

Her other initiatives include Playful Wellbeing (therapy, supervision, facilitation and consultancy) and London Playback Theatre (improvised theatre, storytelling and community-building).
